Our fine glass and crystal snuffries are entirely hand-painted and derived from Chinese craftsmanship. The level of detail of the patterns drawn Toinside andon these bottles requires several days of work for painters. Also known as snuff bottles, Chinese snuffers come in the form of small vials protecting tobacco from moisture. Most of our Chinese snuffers have a small agate cap. During ancient China (Qing Dynasty), smoking tobacco was illegal. However, snew smoking was permitted, as tobacco was considered a remedy for cold, nausea, migraines or stomach aches. It is for this reason that snuffers are now part of China's cultural heritage.
